Abettor

Formed in Larnaca during the late summer of 2013, Abettor’s shared vision is to push the boundaries of rock through seamlessly blending traditional with non-traditional genres to create an idiosyncratic sound. Composed of guitarist and vocalist Andreas Matheou, lead vocalist Manolis Manoli, bass guitarist Pavlos Papadopoulos, guitarist Euripides Karaolis, and drummer Julien Koukkides, Abettor’s identity lies in their unique fusion of dark, heavy riffs with melodic, haunting hooks, and ambient, electronica-infused post-rock. The band offers listeners a musical rollercoaster with atmospheric melodies and climaxes featuring hints of progressive, grunge, and stoner rock with hypnotising trip-hop. Abettor released their first EP, “Time Thief”, in 2016 and launched their debut album, “Rinse & Repeat”, in 2020.
